Çünkü daha filmin ilk dakikalarında en meşhur sahnelerden biri hatta filme adını veren sahne pat diye karşınıza çıkıverir. Onu kaçırdığınızda pek de bir anlamı olmaz bu güzel filmin. Filmi izlerken müzikler sizi alır eskilere götürür. O kadar ki film bitince Moon River şarkısı günlerce çınlar kulaklarınızda, ki en iyi şarkı alanında Oscar almıştır. Benim için romantik komedi türünü çok da sevmememe rağmen bayıla bayıla izlediğim, her seferinde eğlendiğim bir filmdir. Bu arada hikayenin de Truman Capote'nin aynı adı taşıyan romanına dayandırılması filmi bir kez daha güçlü kılar izleyicinin gözünde. Filmdeki bütün karakterler ayrıca güldürür, eğlendirir insanı ki benim favorim üst fotoğrafçı komşudur. Film izleyicilere ayrıca 1960'larda New York'ta üst sınıfın yaşamından ve ilişkilerinden de kesitler sunar. Bazı filmler vardır şehirleriyle anılır, ki bu filmi de New York'la anmak gerekir.

When you are at home there are some films that you say "I will start this and put a tea, and while I am preparing something to eat I can join the film later on" . Breakfast at Tiffany's is definitely not one of them as from the very first moment you instantly face with the most famous scene which also gives the movie its name, and after you miss that scene there is not much sense of watching it. The soundtracks of the movie drifts you to the old times. It is so much that even after you finish the movie Moon River, which also won an Oscar for the best song, keeps tinkling in your ears for days. Even if I don't like romantic comedies that much everytime I watch this movie I watch it totally eagerly and each time I had a lot of fun. Moreover, the story loosely based on the novel which had the same title by Truman Capote, makes the movie more stronger in the eyes of the audience. Each character in the movie - my favourite one is the top floor neighbour, the fotographer- has his/her own style and enjoys the audience in his/her own way. Besides the movie gives glimpses from the high society lifestyles in New York in the 1960s. There are some movies remembered with the cities they are taken, for Breakfast at Tiffany's we can say that is New York.
